Today I’m gonna present my top three favorite street foods. The food place that I chose is Lang Mor market or in Thai we call KAD Lang Mor. It is another big market of Chiang Mai University. Which is behind the university Most of them are food carts attached to the walls of Chiang Mai University. There is a variety of food. Both general food and Chiang Mai local food. It’s also affordable price. It is open every day except the 25th of every month. From 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
So, the first street food is called Mun Inter. It’s a crispy potato chip that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Potatoes coated in a thin flour and fried with seasoning powder. They have various flavors such as cheese, spicy, barbecue, pizza, paprika, sour cream and corn with at least 10 flavors to choose from. The most popular flavor that I would like to recommend is cheese and paprika. The shop is located behind Chiang Mai University, near the Faculty of Education gate. The price is 35 baht for small size, 40 baht for medium size and 50 baht for large size. It’s open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The second street food is called gai ra-biap. It’s a fried chicken thigh. With a variety of spicy chicken powder to choose from, including hot spicy (this one is the best!), Sichuan pepper, cheese, Korean sauce and garlic sauce. The shop is located behind Chiang Mai University, near the Faculty of Education gate. The price is 10 baht per each. It’s open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The third street food is called suki chang-peuak. It’s a famous sukiyaki restaurant among Chiang Mai people. The signature thing of suki chang-peuak is soft, chewy noodles combined with a dipping sauce that’s just the right amount of spicy, sweet and sour. Fresh vegetables, soft pork, have a slightly burnt aroma from the pan, but It’s delicious! They have sukiyaki stir fry and sukiyaki soup. The shop is located behind Chiang Mai University, opposite the Faculty of Education gate. The price is 40 baht for pork, 50 baht and 60 baht for beef and seafood. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
